It's Time For a Serious Discussion About Snowpiercer.

The Melbourne Film Festival starts today, which means it's time for serious film discussions. And the film I want to have a serious discussion about right now is SNOWPIERCER.

Yes, it's great. But I feel a key question has been left unaddressed.

WHERE DO THEY PUT THE CHICKENS?

The chickens would be smelly and loud, so they wouldn't want them up the front of the train next to the rich people.

But they couldn't put the chickens at the back of the train either, or else the poor people would just break in and eat them.

It seems to me the most optimum carriage to place the chickens would be in between the soldiers' barracks and the water supply, but we see the characters walk through these carriages uninterrupted and there are no chickens.

SO WHERE ARE THE CHICKENS?

Sorry for ruining the movie for you.

Episode 3 - June 2014: Sidekicks and Supporting Characters, with guest Ive Sorocuk

It's our second monthly live episode, direct from All Star Comics. And to think, they said we'd never make it!

This month, we're joined by Diggables creator Ive Sorocuk, as we shine a spotlight on those underacknowledged journeymen of comics: the Sidekicks and Supporting Characters. A few small sound issues this episode, but plenty to sink your teeth into if you're into comics, google kissing, or Chinese dating shows. And a world shattering announcement at the end.

Grab it now on iTunes, or direct download, or just listen here.

(And thanks to friend of the show, creator extraordinaire and inspirational guru Bobby N for our episode photo this month. For more pics, check out his blog. And go read his comics too, while you're at it!)

Next Live Show: This Friday 27 June!

Don't forget folks, the next Radioactive Lounge is this Friday! And we hope you're pumped, because we're very excited about this one.

We figured it's time someone gave some attention to those underacknowledged journeymen of comics - the SIDEKICKS and SUPPORTING CHARACTERS. They toil month after month in the shadows of the guys who get their name on the book's front cover, but this month they get to step out into the spotlight. Robin and Bucky, Lois and Steve Trevor, Tawky Tawny and Krypto - we'll be celebrating them all, as we talk about our favourites as well the lamest, we discuss just why they're important, and we ask if there are any ready to step up to the big time and get their own book.

And to help us, we've enlisted special guest IVE SOROCUK, the most dapper man in Melbourne comics and writer/artist of one of Australia's funniest funny books, The Diggables.

All this plus the usual news, reviews, arguments and hijinks, and the return of the quiz! Can anyone beat 2 points to take lead position in the running for the famous Radioactive Lounge Prize Bag????

Be there to find out!
